About Declan Meagher

My name is Declan Meagher and I’ve been a Professional Gambler for over 10 years now. In that time most of my betting has been on Betfair and Betdaq.

I’ve always had allot to say so this site gives me the opportunity to write on topics I’m interested in, and with my Betting School I intend to teach people the tools they need to become winning punters themselves. There are no quick fixes, winning at gambling like most jobs takes hard work, loads of research, and form study. There are however plenty of ways to approach the task that give you every chance of being successful, and without giving all of my own angles, I’ll show you how to go about getting your own.

I preview most big races in my blog, and I also have a Nap of the Day page which is proving very profitable and should continue to do so. I’ve just launched my Premium Advisory Service which will be an email/text service giving subscribers an average of 15-20 of my very best bets each week. It has both a set membership or a set profit target option.

Another section I hope will be of interest is Hit Or Myth. In Hit or Myth I’ll dissect the many media clichés relating to horse racing. Does Polytrack form really transfer well to Ascot as many have stated, do soft ground horses do better than fast ground ones on Fibresand? These and many more will be looked at to see if they’re a Hit or a Myth.

My Blog will cover everything else I feel the need to share with the world.

I’m available to write article’s for your website/newspaper/magazine and also for any specialist research you might want done into any horse racing topic.

Visit the Contact page for email details.

The Shadwell Fillies mile is the highlight of Fridays card at Newmarket at 3.15 tomorrow, and I preview and provide my tips for the race. While we have the winner of the Moyglare set to line up, it doesn't look a great Group 1 race by any means, but there [...]

Punters help fund Irish Horse Racing, how about some respect?

Punters help fund Irish Horse Racing, without them it's unlikely there would even be any racing. You would presume then, that the powers that be, would treat such an important group with the respect they deserve. You might even think that they would go out of their way to keep [...]

Nunthorpe Stakes – Tips and Preview – 3.40 York

I preview Friday's Nunthorpe Stakes and provide my best tips for the race. This years race is competitive with many horses with chances, although it does seem to lack a superstar, and the winner will probably be the horse that has everything fall right on the day. They went off [...]

Darley Yorkshire Oaks – Tips and Preview – 3.40 York

The Darley Yorkshire Oaks is a group 1 race, for fillies and mares, run over 12 furlongs at York. This years race has only one prior group 1 winner in it, but a few unexposed sorts could yet be up to that standard. 8 runners are set to go to [...]

Juddmonte International Stakes – Tips and Preview – 3.40 York

A small but select field lines up for the 2013 edition of the Juddmonte International at 3.40 tomorrow in York, with just 6 set to face the starter. Considering 8 horses took Frankel on in this last year, its perhaps surprising only 5 are willing to take Al Kazeem on [...]

Has the Coventry form worked out well, or badly?

This years Coventry stakes seems to be the cause of quite a bit of debate over the worth of the form. One camp is using the lack of winners to come out of it, as justification for saying it's worked out poorly, while others led by Timeform's David Johnson, and [...]
