About Declan Meagher

My name is Declan Meagher and I’ve been a Professional Gambler for over 10 years now. In that time most of my betting has been on Betfair and Betdaq.

I’ve always had allot to say so this site gives me the opportunity to write on topics I’m interested in, and with my Betting School I intend to teach people the tools they need to become winning punters themselves. There are no quick fixes, winning at gambling like most jobs takes hard work, loads of research, and form study. There are however plenty of ways to approach the task that give you every chance of being successful, and without giving all of my own angles, I’ll show you how to go about getting your own.

I preview most big races in my blog, and I also have a Nap of the Day page which is proving very profitable and should continue to do so. I’ve just launched my Premium Advisory Service which will be an email/text service giving subscribers an average of 15-20 of my very best bets each week. It has both a set membership or a set profit target option.

Another section I hope will be of interest is Hit Or Myth. In Hit or Myth I’ll dissect the many media clichés relating to horse racing. Does Polytrack form really transfer well to Ascot as many have stated, do soft ground horses do better than fast ground ones on Fibresand? These and many more will be looked at to see if they’re a Hit or a Myth.

My Blog will cover everything else I feel the need to share with the world.

I’m available to write article’s for your website/newspaper/magazine and also for any specialist research you might want done into any horse racing topic.

Visit the Contact page for email details.

Ascot Gold Cup Tips and Preview – 3.45 Ascot

Looking at the betting for this years Ascot Gold Cup you'd be forgiven for thinking it was a very competitive handicap. It is very competitive, but its not a handicap. The big field is probably more indicative of the lack of any star stayers, and thus many more trainers are [...]

Prince Of Wales Tips and Preview – 3.45 Ascot

The Princess of Wales Stakes normally brings together some of the top 10 furlong horses in the world. This year it would be hard to accuse any of the runners of that accolade. Its unfortunate that the likes of Farhh miss the race, he would surely beat this lot, and [...]

St James Palace Tips and Preview – 3.45 Ascot

A fascinating if somewhat tricky to evaluate renewal of the St James Palace Stakes. We have the winner of the Irish and English 2000 Guineas clashing, and the winner will likely be proclaimed as the leading 3 year old miler. Tips for the 3.45 at Ascot Dawn Approach is a [...]

Queen Anne Tips and Preview – 2.30 Ascot

In the Queen Anne last year we were treated to a Frankel masterclass. Unfortunately tomorrows field is below par for this race, and the main point of interest is the participation of the former Kentucky Derby and Dubai World Cup winner, Animal Kingdom. Tips for the Queen Anne Animal Kingdom [...]

Aidan Ruled the World but he needed a Good Flop

Last Saturday’s Epsom Derby was a fascinating race, but the result has led to claims of tactical genius from Aidan O’Brien. Was it really a stroke of genius to go slow, to get the favourite Dawn Approach pulling, or did they get lucky? To credit Aidan as the brains behind [...]

Irish 2000 Guineas – Tips and Preview – 3.20 Curragh

With two UK Classics already decided and a similar quota in France, this years Classic crop doesn't look much better than last years. The first of the Irish Classic's is tomorrow, but unfortunately the Irish 2000 Guineas, looks a pretty poor group one. The race mostly comprises horses, who weren't [...]
